Had a great little dinner at this French spot centrally located in St Peter Port. Only felt like a light meal so ordered the 10 tapas and a bowl of French Onion soup to share between two. Was a very decent portion and quite reasonable washed down with two delicious gin and tonics. Interesting French foods included Frogs legs, Snails and Steak Tartare together with very tasty sliders, bruschetta, melted brie with dipping sticks etc... Highly recommended!

We used to live on Guernsey and Le Petit Bistro was one of our favorite places to eat. We just returned for a vacation and went back to the restaurant for a visit. It did not disappoint. We had our usual escargot and moules marinière, and they were fabulous. We had the suggested house white wine which was lovely. All was good until leaving when our waiter seemed to have trouble with delivering the check. I am not sure if their machine was having trouble or our waiter was swamped. It was annoying to wait and marred an otherwise wonderful dinner.

Great food, but the service was frankly a little patchy. As the night quite on we were increasingly having to hunt down a waiter for service. A five star review was bought crashing down to earth when we saw a 15 pence charge on the bill for a side jug of hot milk with our double espressos. When spending sixty three quid on a meal is it unreasonable to expect the milk in the coffees would be thrown in free ?

Some of the best food in Guernsey, locally sourced and it makes a difference. A French touch without being overwhelmed in a cute ambient atmosphere. I would recommend the selection of 10 french sweets for dessert to share. My only knit pick would be the service was a little slow and not the friendliest to welcome.
